Submitting Samples for Testing
To submit a sample for testing please download the test submission form and carefully enter the requested information. If you have any questions or require assistance, please e-mail or call Animal Genetics and speak to one of our customer service representatives. You may also visit our bird FAQ page where answers to many common questions can be found.

Sample Collection Instructions:
Use caution when collecting samples: clean nail clippers between each bird; try to avoid touching the circle on the card or the end of the swab where the blood will be placed.
Disease Testing: Please refer to each individual disease for specific information on sample type, collection and sample submission to Animal Genetics.
DNA Sexing: Routine testing can be performed from blood, feather or eggshell samples. Animal Genetics has the world's largest database of avian DNA samples with over 2000 different species of birds from around the world. Please check to see if your bird is listed on our species list.

It is generally not necessary to order sample collection kits for DNA sexing. However, if required, Animal Genetics provides sample collection kits for testing. Please go to Order Collection Kits.
Payment:
Payment can be made in U.S. Dollars by credit card, PayPal (paypal(at)animalgenetics.us), or electronic transfer and check.
Limitations:
As with any genetic test, new mutations may occur in the individual genome that could affect the assay. Sample collection plays a pivotal part in the overall accuracy of the test, so please use caution and follow the instructions carefully.
